Your Tarot Court by Ethany Dawn
Do court cards trip you up when doing tarot card readings?
This is a common experience, not just for new readers.
At times even people who have been reading for many years can feel this way.
Your Tarot Court written by Ethany Dawn is a guide to help you learn more about the court cards and read them with confidence.
You will get the most out of it if you have one or two tarot decks to use while reading. I used the Golden Thread Tarot and my Wildly Tarot deck, which were perfect for the exercises in this book. You can shop MY LIST at Bookshop.org if you're looking for a new deck!
If you are BRAND new to tarot, I would come back to it once you have a deeper understanding of the cards as a whole. It is informative and structured in a beginner friendly way, but I do think you will get more from the information with a previous understanding of tarot. No need to be an expert, a basic feeling will do.
Growing up in the Evangelical church most of my life left huge gaps in pop culture knowledge. For these sections and parts of the book, I had to Google a lot of the references. These comparisons and tools will be more immediately helpful if you know more of them already.
Your Tarot Court is useful as a regular research and reflection tool. Additionally, it feels like a book that will be valuable to visit in full every few years. It is the that speaks to you in different ways depending on where you are in life.
